The Words of the Wise and the Weird – Cut-Up Technique

Cut-Up Technique

This is the writing that accompanied my artwork. This work was exhibited via guerrilla projection across London (Camden, Waterloo, Shoreditch, Soho and Covent Garden).

This piece explored snippets of powerful rhetoric and used the medium of knitting to thread these individuals’ words into a new speech; one which is open to the interpretation of the reader.

To celebrate the release of the film Kill Your Darlings, starring Daniel Radcliffe on 6 December, KYD Film UK launched London’s first ever projected art exhibition that featured works of art inspired by the ‘cut-up’ technique featured in the film and used by Allen Ginsberg, Jack Kerouac and William Burroughs.
